Post Mother's Day Celebration (Part 2)

Our original booking was 6th - 8th of May, 2009 at Grande Island Resort in Subic but because of the very strong typhoon Emong it was postponed on the 12th - 14th of May, 2009. Our long wait was paid off when we reached the island...so secluded and too many activities for us to enjoy. We tried almost everything, too bad, time is not enough...Check out our pictures.

Welcome to Grande Island Resort Port.

Bird's eye view of the island.

Bonding while waiting for the ferry that will bring us to the island.

Too excited but still managed to pose...

It's a 30 minutes ride to the island...

We went hiking around the island.

The beach is a bit rocky which gives us a chance to collect different color of rocks,
stones and sea shells. In fairness, the water is clean & clear...
Our first dinner in the island...the food is abundant and delicious.

After our first dinner, we went to play billiards, i almost won hahahaha.

Right before heading to our room we noticed this...
I didn't even notice it, too excited to check-in.

Banana boat, yeepee...Josh almost missed the fun coz
they only allow 7 y/o and above...buti na lang nadaan sa pakiusap.

Me and Josh managed to wave for the picture...good job Josh..
My brave boy...

Nice shot Zoe...

That's a big anchor...

Just infront of our room...

Josh can't wait to swim...

Giggle that is priceless...

That's life dad... coffee by the sea...

Good job Josh... you have an excellent trainer...
I learned to swim because of dad too...

But Zoe learned to swim by herself... I'm so proud of you baby...

Snorkeling time...

Wow, baywatch posing...

This is the first time i enjoyed the beach...
I learned to snorkel...finally...

Josh is enjoying himself near the seashore...

Sun set and time to build a castle for Josh...

After enjoying the beach... we enjoyed the very warm swimming pool.

Next morning we enjoyed playing in the playground...

And fishing...

Nice catch dad...

That's my catch hahaha
I caught about 10 small fishes.. then Zoe and Josh fed the cat that was waiting beside us...
We left the cat with a full tummy.
Just a pose for Zoe and Josh coz they are too small to drive it...
leave that to mom and dad...

Another beautiful day for a walk after breakfast...

Last dine-in..

View from up there...

While waiting for the ferry to take us to the mainland.

My big boy...
My family at the ferry...bye beautiful island...

Somewhere in Subic...

That's the USS Blue Ridge back there...

However, the last scare...after fishing, we decided to go for a swimming at the beach before we check out. Just about 5 minutes in the water, Josh came running to us and shouting really loud asking for help. I went to get him with a panic and grab him right away. He was shaking and pointing to his legs and I saw some jelly fish tentacles. Since I felt the pain in his cry, my instinct, was to remove the tentacles. I felt the sting, sort of like burning feeling. I'm sure it's extremely painful for Josh. I immediately, grab handful sand and rub it to his legs to remove all the remaining tentacles and ran to the clinic of the resort for first aid. The life guard washed Josh's legs and pour vinegar to release the venom. Though, it's not fatal, I was really worried of what could happen to Josh. His legs were swollen. The life guard said that if incase, it happens again and there is no vinegar, you could use urine as first aid..."yikes" but it's true...I once watch it at one of the episode of Friends when Monica got stung and Chandler Bing used his pee...funny and educational. When I was giving him a bath, Josh told me that he doesn't want to swim in the beach ever again. I have to encourage him to eliminate his phobia...so I told him that this is just a coincidence...and it could be just this once...and not all beaches have jelly fish...and he replied... "Why could it be my time?" and I kept quiet... I pity him but he is so brave...i'm really proud of him because after 30 minutes of continues crying he became jolly again and telling us about what happened. He said, he wrestled the jelly fish hahahaha.... Brave Josh.

Happy Panatag Day (Part 1)

Whether you are called "Mother", "Mom" as commonly used, "Nanay" in tagalog, "Mama" or "Madre" in Spanish, "Maman" in French, "Ibu" in Indonesian and "Mutter" in German...we still have one role in life and that is to raise our children to the best we can and mold them to be the best person they can be.

Being a mother is not an easy task, no day off and on call twenty-four seven. It is indeed the hardest and toughest career in the world. Whatever the child will become of, will reflect on how the MOTHER raised them...so even if you are unsuccessful in other aspect of your life but you are as a mother, it will be the ultimate fulfillment. I salute my mom of what and who we are now, it surely brought her to her fulfillment in life, thank you very much "mommy" and I wish that someday my two children will be able to say these same words...

Looking fulfilled...and will continue to work hard for the fulfillment.

This is the purpose of my life...

I am thankful for this family.

The fulfillment of my motherhood...

The man who made it all possible...

The best gift you could ever get is a Kiss...

The house is full of joy because of Zoe and Josh...

My very own "Santino", thanks Bro.
This was taken at Carmelite Monastery in Angeles City.

My special day started with a delightful fried rice of my husband. It has become a tradition for him to cook his special fried rice which I, Zoe and Josh looks forward to it every mother's day.

Gift from Zoe (front page)

This is from Josh with Ate Zoe's help.

After our lunch out with my in-laws, my husband pampered me to a Spa near our place. We both had a facial and foot massage...after my relaxing bonding with my hubby, we visited Carmelite with Josh to thank God for all the blessings we received thru the years. May God guide me everyday to be a better mom, wife and a person.
And there is more...we will be going to Grande Island for 2 nights...sort of a post mother's day celebration...see you in my next post!!!
